Pedi POWER (Pediatricians Organizing and Working to End Racism)

Pedi POWER was established in the summer of 2020 during the brutal culmination of a US racial reckoning with a global COVID pandemic. A group of dedicated Santa Clara Valley Health Pediatricians, employed at the second largest public, safety net medical institution in the state of California, recognized their moral and professional obligation to challenge the upstream social drivers of health that manifest as illness and lack of opportunity in their clinical exam rooms, daily.  

Since its establishment, Pedi POWER continues to build itself bigger and brighter by developing continued projects and interventions in all the domains of equity work set for by the American Academy of Pediatrics, listed in the adjacent infographic.
